Maybe so. But one of the world's empires of false religion appears to be tilting a little, if not falling.

Looks like the WT got one prediction right! Actually, it just proves that the governments really are God's minister.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkUaXWI4HEY&ab_channel=FixingMyFaith“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those
that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed,
and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you
have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is
God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the
servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer” (Romans 13:1-4 ESV).

BABYLON THE GREAT IS NOT FALLING ANYMORE? (NEW LIGHT FROM THE ANNUAL MEETING)
by raymond frantz inhttps://youtu.be/rsbfa_7lqv4?si=muuxmgtll1n1ifad.
the watchtower’s babylon the great: a shrinking reality?.
so this latest annual meeting introduced a new idea about babylon the great, and here is the part from geoffrey jackson's talk we real need to dig in and consider it's ramifications..... so you’ve got to hand it to them; they know how to keep things interesting with their ever-evolving interpretations and, of course, those classic "adjustments" in understanding.

Now, let’s break this down. Why would the Watchtower want to position themselves in a less extreme light? Well, for starters, they don’t want to look like a group of doomsday fanatics.
Well, its too late for that.

Blood decisions are now your problem: WT JULY 2025
by raymond frantz inthe following is from the latest study watchtower july 2025, study article 28, paragraph 17:.
each christian must make up his or her own mind about whether to accept or to reject these fractions.
we may find it a challenge to understand this matter fully, but making decisions like this is part of the load that each of us must carry.

The living worry about the resurrection but the dead don't.
The dead in heaven are awaiting a resurrection. 2 Corinthians 5:8, which suggests believers are "away from the body and at home with the Lord".

I turned 13 in 1976 and the world was still here. An entire generation of teens never believed another word their parents and elders said. They wondered why the kids were so "rebellious" in the late 70's.
Now, all the oldtimers that pushed the 1975 hysteria are mostly all dead and us kids are in our 60's. They all acted like it was no big deal after the prophecy failed. But, if you were a kid counting the months until you were likely going to be killed by God, it was a REALLY BIG DEAL.The kids weren't stupid. They could see how rebellious the parents and elders were in promoting the false prophecy (against biblical counsel otherwise).
The rebellious teens wre just following the example of their rebellious parents and overseers. -

Are There any JW Teaching that you DO Agree With?
by NotFormer in(apologies for the typo in the title.
"teaching" should read "teachings".
i misread vanderhoven7's most recent post as being the above.

@Witness007
Trinity is nonsense
JW's cannot and will not explain how a man can raise himself from the dead without being God.

This JW elder lost his life because of the ban on organ transplants. A few months later, WT finally said that organ transplants were a conscience matter. In other words, not a disfellowshipping offence. Now, no one even remembrers when the organ ban was, much less the people who died supporting the whims of some gb members.
Same thing will happen to the ban on blood, just a matter of time. -

The Big Secret
by finishedmystery inwhen the gb brought a formal end to all the type/antitypes in so many ways it could be said that they brought the religion to an end.
the other sheep/anointed teaching that leads to a two class religion was originally based on two antitypes--the jehu/jehonadab relationship and something about the cities of refuge.
in that 2014 annual meeting talk david splane even specifically stated that the cities of refuge has no antitype.

Why do they make everything so ruddy complicated?
It is a disorientation technique. Because of this, Most exjws just throw their hands in the air and say they don’t know what to believe.

What is really Babylon the great?
by Halcon infor believers of god and christ, it seems that it should be obvious that babylon the great of revelation should be all religions and spiritual practices associated with the one true enemy of christ...the devil, satan, the snake etc.
essentially any group or individual practicing and promoting witchcraft, sorcery, devil worshipping etc.
all things practiced in ancient babylon (the nation presumably used as the model for the one in revelation).. or is this too simple of an explanation?.

Babylon the Great is the end-times chuch. It is called the Laodicean Church in Revelation. After the rapture, this will be whatever is left. The true church of believers have been evacuated to heaven and the Laodicean Church is what is left - the empty husk of the Christian Church after the rapture. We are NOT in the Laodicean Church period just yet. Jesus is still in the churches.
In Revelation, Jesus is walking "among" the churches except for the last one. There, he is seen as outside the church and knocking on the door asking to be let in.Even during the GT, Jesus is knocking on the door of the church and peoples' heart, asking to be let in.

The point of existence and how it refutes the Trinity
by slimboyfat inrowan williams, the former archbishop of canterbury gave an interesting answer to the somewhat stark question, what’s the point of us existing?
as a christian, my starting point is that we exist because the most fundamental form of activity, energy, call it what you like, that is there, is love.
that is, it’s a willingness that the other should be.

Other than you reading of this in the Greek Scriptures, what proof do you have that this ever happened, or do you just believe that it happened?
@Duran
Earlier in this thread I invited a poster to google non-biblical sources for the life of Jesus. Doing that will reveal over 100 sources from Romans, Jews, Greeks, and other Secular documents. Did you do that? Why not? Is it the fact that historians can completely reconstruct the primary events of Jesus' life including his death, and resurrection from these non-biblical sources?
Duran, atheists used to make these kinds of outlandish claims denying the historicity of Jesus a few decades ago, not so much now. This is the internet age. The game has changed. It has made it a lot harder to find places to hide from God.@SlimBoyFat
Jesus announced that he was in two places at one time. He was on earth and in heaven simultaneously. How did he do this if he wasn't God? Was he lying about this too?
"No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven". - John 3: 13 (Jesus trying to educate one of the teachers of Israel)Also, I'm wondering how you get around this scripture:
Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. - Romans 8: 9
I can't imagine you inviting the spirit of Michael the Archangel to take up residence inside of you. But, God's word makes it clear that if you aren't born again through membership in the new covenant, which allows the Spirit of Christ to reside in a person, you are "NONE OF HIS".
Does this warning concern you?
